Proceedings

THEREUPON,
Diana Prince,
having been first duly sworn to tell the truth, the whole
truth, and nothing but the truth about her career, was
examined and testified as follows:

Examination by Ms. Recruiter

Q.  Please state your name and occupation for the record.
A.  Diana Prince. Certified court reporter and
stenographer, based in Miami, Florida.

Q.  Summarize your professional background.
A.  I have reported legal proceedings for 18 years and I
am certified at 260 words per minute. I have taken the record
in more than 4,000 depositions, trials, and hearings, and I
provide realtime CART captioning. I notice when people talk
over each other, because I am the one who has to fix it.

Q.  Where are you currently employed?
A.  Prince Realtime Reporting, LLC. My own firm. I founded
it in 2016 and I have run it since, so ten years now,
2016 to present.

Q.  What does that work involve, specifically?
A.  Three things I can state under oath. One, I report
roughly 220 proceedings a year across civil, criminal, and
arbitration matters, English and Spanish colloquy. Two, I
deliver certified transcripts with a 99.6 percent accuracy
rate on independent audit, average turnaround 4 business
days, expedited in 24 hours. Three, I manage a panel of 6
freelance reporters and 2 scopists covering 3 counties.

Q.  And before founding your firm?
A.  Staff reporter at Herrera & Boone Litigation Support
in Miami, 2011 to 2016. I covered about 180 depositions per
year, built their realtime hookup workflow for out-of-state
counsel, and trained 4 junior reporters to state
certification. All 4 passed on the first sitting.

Q.  Any earlier positions the record should reflect?
A.  Official court reporter, Miami-Dade County criminal
division, 2008 to 2011. Daily felony calendar, roughly 900
hearings on my record. I also produced daily copy in two
multi-week jury trials without missing a deadline.

Q.  What about the CART work you mentioned?
A.  Since 2019 I provide realtime CART captioning for
deaf and hard-of-hearing participants, about 300 hours a
year, courtroom and classroom settings, on-site and remote.

Q.  Please state your certifications and education.
A.  Registered Professional Reporter and Certified
Realtime Reporter, NCRA. Florida Professional Reporter
designation. Speed certification at 260 words per minute,
testimony Q and A. Associate of Science in Court Reporting,
Biscayne Technical College, 2008. Notary Public, State of
Florida.

Q.  Any technical proficiencies?
A.  Stenograph Luminex II writer. Case CATalyst and
Eclipse CAT software. Realtime streaming to counsel via
CaseViewNet. Remote deposition platforms. My personal
steno dictionary holds 212,000 entries, including a
Spanish-language brief bank I maintain myself.

Q.  Languages?
A.  English and Spanish, both fluent, both on the record.

MS. RECRUITER:  Nothing further. Thank you.
THE WITNESS:  May I read and sign?
MS. RECRUITER:  Of course.
