System summary
I build the firmware and edge logic that make homes and small buildings run without a person babysitting them. Over 8 years I have shipped device software for around 40,000 deployed nodes, from thermostats to door controllers.
Most of my work sits between low-power radios and cloud APIs. I care about the boring parts: nodes that reconnect after a power cut, OTA updates that do not brick a wall switch at 2am. I keep a small lab of 12 test devices at home, which my cat treats as heated furniture.

Activity log · experience
Senior IoT Engineer · Dniprovka Systems
2022 – present
- Led firmware for a Matter-ready thermostat line, now in about 18,000 homes with a field return rate under 0.6%.
- Rebuilt the OTA update flow so a failed image rolls back automatically, cutting support tickets for bricked devices by 71%.
- Cut idle current on the main sensor board from 42µA to 11µA, roughly doubling battery life to 26 months.
Embedded Software Engineer · Verkhnia Labs
2019 – 2022
- Wrote Zigbee mesh drivers for a 9-device lighting kit; commissioning time dropped from 4 minutes to 40 seconds per node.
- Built a Python test rig that flashed and validated 120 boards per hour on the production line.
Firmware Developer · Kalyna Electronics
2017 – 2019
- Ported a legacy 8-bit door controller to an ARM Cortex-M0+, freeing 60% more flash for new features.
- Added a BLE provisioning app path that reduced installer setup errors reported by the field team by half.
