// notes: I cut and restore video for a living. Over 9 years I have edited around 340 short films, ads, and museum pieces, and digitized roughly 6,200 hours of tape headed for the landfill. My favorite job is still the one where the client hands me a shoebox of unlabeled VHS and asks what is on them.

Rebuilt the tape-transfer bay with 4 deck formats (VHS, S-VHS, Hi8, U-matic), lifting weekly digitization from 40 to 130 hours.
Trained 5 junior editors on color and audio cleanup; 3 now run their own client rosters.

Digitized 4,100 hours of local news and home movies, cataloged to a 12-field metadata standard.
Cut per-tape processing time by 22% by pre-baking degraded stock before capture.

Built the studio's project archive, tagging 1,900 finished spots for reuse.
