The Backing

I draft and piece quilts for a living, and I have finished 320 commissioned tops over 14 years. I teach a rotating block-of-the-month class to about 40 students, and I run two longarm machines out of a converted barn studio. When a pattern does not lie flat, I take it apart and re-cut it rather than press the wrinkle out.
