I design tube and hybrid audio amplifiers, and I have done so for 14 years, from first schematic to production test rig. My output stages ship in 3 commercial amplifier lines, and my last push-pull design measures 0.08% THD at rated power. I still bias every prototype by ear first and by meter second, in that order, and I log both.

Led electrical design of the EK-300 monoblock line: 2 x 45 W push-pull EL34 stage, 0.08% THD at rated output, 4,100 units sold across 3 production years.
Cut output-stage field failures from 2.3% to 0.4% by redesigning bias servo and adding per-tube current telemetry to the burn-in bench.
