I restore and regulate mechanical movements, and I have done so for 19 years. My bench work covers roughly 340 complicated calibres to date, including 27 minute repeaters. I keep my regulation records in pencil, in ledgers, because ink smears near oil. Escapement work is my strongest suit; casework I leave to people with steadier taste.

PASSED WITH DISTINCTION
Rate variance held within ± 0.8 seconds across all positions and both temperature chambers. The Bureau records this trial as first in class of 14 candidates, session of March 2026.

Direct a bench of 6 watchmakers; the atelier completed 118 full restorations in 2025 with a 2.1% return rate under warranty.
Rebuilt a 1912 grande sonnerie with 43 missing components, each cut and finished from drawings; 14 months, delivered on the quoted date.
Wrote the house regulation standard now applied to every outgoing piece: 5 positions, 2 temperatures, 10-day observation.

Assembled and adjusted 9 minute-repeater calibres per year, tuning gong tone by ear against a reference set of 3 house standards.
Reduced escapement rejection at final inspection from 11% to 4% by introducing a pallet-stone locking gauge of my own design.

Serviced roughly 400 pocket and wrist movements across 4 years, from cleaning through full regulation.
Earned the workshop's turning bench in year 2, cutting replacement staffs and stems to 0.01 mm tolerance.
