Programme note

I have conducted professionally for 15 seasons, currently leading a 68-player opera orchestra through roughly 70 performances a year. My repertoire runs from Monteverdi to living composers, with 9 premieres so far. I keep my beat small; the orchestra plays better when I stay out of the way.

  • Conduct 5 fully staged opera productions and 12 symphonic concerts per season, around 70 performances total.
  • Rebuilt the rehearsal schedule around 3-hour calls; overtime costs fell 22% over two seasons.
  • Started an open-rehearsal series that brought in 4,800 first-time visitors in 2024.
