s.rogers@example.com · +44 20 5550 8812 · johnwrites.example.com

Twelve years reporting and editing long-form features on food, labor, and the economics of taste. Currently features editor at Table & Ledger, a bimonthly with 140,000 readers, where I commission 30 features a year and edit a stable of 25 freelancers. My own reporting has taken me to saffron farms in Kashmir, tuna auctions in Busan, and a courtroom in Marseille for a 14-month olive oil fraud trial.

I edit for argument first, sentence second. Pieces I commissioned have won two James Beard nominations and a Prix Albert Londres shortlist. Before editing, I filed 200+ stories as a staff writer and stringer across three countries, in French and English.
